My girls so brave :-)
Hi I had my puppy microchipped 2day!!! the vet told me to hold her head and give her a big cuddle as it would hurt her and she would winge. However she just sat there and didn't even looked like she felt it and didn't winge at all and all I did was stroke her head a little. The vet was suprised and said she was the best
But she did bleed a little bit bless her.

yes she was a brave girl..I understand the chip goes between the layers of skin does it not 
so I guess it is not too painful I would think it is a bit like sticking a needle in the layers of skin in you finger ..like when removing a splinter
