Bleeding from vulva of Spayed bitch
Amber was spayed when she was 6 months old, she is almost 3years old at beginning of May. She is bleeding from the vulva and she did once before. I think the vet diagnosed cystitis last time and she certainly wees an awful lot and walks as she is weeing. I am taking her to the vet this afternoon they have agreed to see her fairly quickly at 2.40. Has anyone else experienced this problem.

but have you checked that it IS actually coming out from her vulva and not her back passage? I had a dog who was bleeding from her back passage and we thought pyo until the vet told me otherwise Double check again, because it could have run down and you think it's from her vulva perhaps?

if it is cystitis it is very common in bitches and when you think there bums are frequently in contact with the ground and it is very easy for germs to track up the urinary tract to the bladder it is not surprising.If you can get a smple to take to the vet all the better and drinking lots to will help to flush things through..
