Cocking legs !!!

My pup is 14wks old and he is still quatting to do a wee. He's an american bulldog x staffy.

Can anyone enlighten me on when he will start cocking his leg for a wee?????

My Golden Retriever is 15 months old and still does a girly squat

I don't actually mind though as it means he is not going to be cocking his leg up everything in sight

Hiya, most males are slow in cocking their leg. Kai my Staff was 7 months before he learnt how to do it I made such a fuss he never did it again all week lol but then went back to doing it. Now there is no stopping him and he does it about 300 times on an hours walk

At 14 weeks is still young, Star cocked his leg for the first time last week, he is 2and half. Storm was 4 when he first did it. So i would not worry about it, some dogs do it young some are a lot older

my misty up untill the age of 1yr 5months only did it a few times then when harvey came to live about 2months ago misty is none stop cocking his leg weird oh yea misty is now 1yr 10months his very first time was about 1yr so i wouldnt worry just enjoy before he learns the art of peein on the side of your house

Not for a while yet - they all vary - two of my boys did it about 6 months for the first time but not all the time (lack of balance I think) but my other boys one still really squats like a girl and the other only cocks his leg when he can be bothered!

So I'm in for a long wait then !!!! hehehehe

Charlie did the other day for the first time..... he's 4 months. Jake was about the same....

My 7 month PBGV only started cocking his leg on Wednesday of this week, I was so proud and felt like he'd grown into a man. I know...crazy! Now he's doing a bit of both, cocking and squating.....as long as it's outside I'm more than happy.
