Sweep - Back legs (crouches, yelps when back legs touched?)

In my previous thread I mentioned about Sweeps weight loss which is a worry and we are seeing the Vet on Monday(before his holiday)
Yesterday I noticed Sweep have a bit of dried P** on him so I thought I had better get that off, I ran my hand down and over his hip area and he did something weird, yelped, he lifted his tail as if he were going to P** them he started to crouch down..............any ideas. I have tried to feel for any lumps but he does the same movement every time.:smt102
Have also noticed two small lumps on his face and one on his chest(he does have a few anyway)

A worry

The crouching and yelp would indicate pain or the expectation of pain I would seek a veterinary opinion as to the cause sooner rather than later

Just took him on his usual walk around the Park and he walked fine, slow as normal, but fine.

Poor Sweep Well my Cassie is fine out on a walk, but should I brush her on her rump or rear end she dips down or yelps sometimes. She is fine when on the Metacam, but unfortunately I ran out 3 days ago (waiting for a delivery from the internet coz it's half price) and I noticed she was doing it again whilst off the Metacam. She is very arthritic behind, so I would think Sweep might be the same? I can do whatever I like with my Cassie when she's on this Metacam though, but I really did notice it in the last couple of days with her, how she crouched down and yelped, just like you're describing. Maybe have a word with your vet and ask him if he thinks he might be arthritic and in need something for the pain.
