Leena, Crossbreed, DOB 01.12 – Godstone, Surrey


Homing Requirements: Leena needs a dog experienced family who have trained and managed a large dog before. She needs to catch up and 'play and relax' around dogs. Leena needs gradual introduction to life, walks and socialisation, having patience whilst she learns confidence through skill acquisition. Leena would love to live with children.

Her Story: Leena grew up within a novice family in a flat. She was toilet trained to use the balcony, which was boarded up as she had jumped off twice. She was taken to the park at weekends and socialised then. Her size and young energy became too much to contain in the small flat with 2 young children and a baby on the way. Leena has been spayed and chipped. Her booster is due May 2013. Leena had a brief foster spell mixed in with small dogs but it was difficult to introduce her large dogs by herself. She is currently in boarding kennels near Godstone, Surrey.

Advert: Leena had a sheltered upbringing; Caring and family orientated, but a lot of direction, trying to contain her energy. She had no avenues to express and promote doggie type activities and associate skills. This has left her bereft of matured skills. She needs to be introduced to the world and given time to build a repertoire of appropriate skills so she learns to understand. Leena would enjoy a secure back garden to run and play in and may settle in with another dog given gentle introductions and support.

Leena is a medium sized crossbreed with beautiful colouring and soft fur. She is 1 year old and kennels is so hard on her. She is young and will pick up with new skills with direction without too high an expectation on her too soon. Leena is still a puppy inside and does need time and direction.

She's gorgeous. She actually looks a lot like a Jocko or RedBoy APBT. I know these are banned in the U.K. so it's funny that she truly does look a lot like them... Hope she finds a great home
