Good morning everyone, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope you and your four legged friends are all ok this morning. Not too many fireworks at midnight as they were letting them off earlier in the evening.

I am still congested with a cold and sore throat and blocked ears etc.

Been busy taking down and packing away the Christmas decorations so house back to normal. Also cooked gammon for lunch which was lovely plus the cheesecake I made yesterday. Now having a coffee before walkng off lunch

Blimey it was treacherous out this morning. Nasty black ice on the paths so we stuck to the grass.

A beautiful swan is on the lake today. Usually comes for 3 or 4 weeks at this time of year. Lovely to see.

My nephew messaged this morning to say he's not feeling too bad this morning (which, interpreted means he feels like s**t, but doesn't want to worry us ).

Thankfully only 5 minutes of fireworks last night but 5 minutes too long.

Moyra....I have come upstairs and watching a film on Disney plus, my parents insist on sitting there watching reruns of reruns

I watched a film with Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze in it called Break point. Just watched another film called The Beguiled.

We watched 'Dog's Way Home' yesterday. Loved it. It's on Netflix at the moment for those who have it.

Been to work walked Gert been out holiday to the Madeira end of this month cancelled I am sure its safe enough but I am not comfortable with the situation so cancelled.
