eyes (blue film on puppies newly-opened eyes - normal?)

hi guys can anyone tell me when a puppy firstr opens its eyes is it supposed to have a bit of blue in it that looks like a film??

i thought it could be blind any q's

Yes it is supposed to look like that, and yes it is currently blind! Pups don't start to see until about 3 weeks old, and even then their sight takes a while to become as sophisticated as adult dogs. We picked up our current pup at 7 weeks old, and I'm sure she couldn't see fine detail or fast-moving objects.

Have you got a litter of pups in the house at the moment? If so, you should probably get a book on puppy development and socialisation. I'm sure people on here could recommend one, otherwise ask your vet for recommendations. It's a big deal being responsible for pups' first weeks in the world, and will have impacts on the rest of their lives, so it's really important to get it right
