Rhia, Crossbreed, DOB 2010 – Godstone, Surrey


Homing Requirements: Rhia needs a family who are comfortable managing a young larger dog. She needs a secure garden and a doggie centred routine. She would love to live with older children but perhaps not too busy a home so she feels sure and settled around visitors. Ideal for a training class - to engage her remarkable intelligence. At a maximum a part-time working home and she could live with another friendly dog. Rhia has 'Lurcher hands’ i.e. can open lever doors so door knobs may be a better option for her family.

Her Story: Rhia was found stray and unclaimed. She has since been neutered and vax'd. She finds kennels a trial despite being a favourite of the walkers. Once her home comes it will all be forgotten. Currently in kennels in Godstone, Surrey.

Advert: Rhia is a medium to large dog who has a young energy but takes direction from her handler. She travels well in the car obviously secured. She walks well on the lead but is happy to meet other dogs. She can do a few growls which aren’t in anyway aggressive just expressing inward concern if she feels unsure but with direction she is soon settled and relaxed within the other dog's company. Rhia would probably live well with another dog but it’s her people that mean everything to her.

Rhia is a larger cross breed who is quite leggy, slender in frame and yet has a gorgeous Staffie heart shaped head with rose ears. She has the warmth in heart of the Staffie and is golden orange brindle which gleams when she is in good health. She mixes with children well and is a little reserved on first meetings which opens up a wonderful opportunity to coax and befriend without a dog being gushing. She is loving & affectionate and absolutely loves her belly being rubbed!

Please note that this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found.
