Introducing myself

My name is Tommy and I live in Chadderton near Oldham. I am a 72 year old widower having lost my wife on November 6th 2007 aged 67. This was a great shock.
I have a golden Labrador called Emma who is twelve and a half years old.
She is feeling her age now and is very reluctant to go walkies, especially when the snow was around. She didn't like that at all.
I've had 5 dogs in all since 1968 Ranging from a Jack Russel, a Hienz, and three labs, two yellow,one black.
When Emma passes I'm hoping not to have any more dogs because they are so tying. I haven't had a holiday for years so I want my freedom. Whether I'll achieve this wish I will have to see.

I'm sorry to hear about the death of your wife and can imagine how hard that was to deal with.

Its a shame you've not been able to have a holiday - is there no-one you can leave her with or even arrange a holiday and take her? There are plenty of places in the UK that will accept a well behaved pet.
