Result at vet!

Today we took Missy for her annual check up and her boosters.

When we first got her we knew she was frightened of the vet. Together with our vet staff we got her over that fear by repeated visits where all she did was play and eat fresh turkey

But the last time we were at the vet there was a cat pts just before Missy had to go in. The staff were angry over the condition of the cat and the lies told to them, the room smelled of disinfectant and my little girl was terrified.

So we started the weekly visits over again for playing and turkey. We went to Mummy2Max's vet open day and we went in every room in the clinic and clicked and treated - and the staff there fussed our gorgeous girl.

So today we went along, armed with the fresh turkey and muzzle if necessary - and it wasn't necessary.

In the waiting room Missy only had eyes for me and we played the "head in there" game with the muzzle which always gets her a tiny turkey piece.

She thoroughly ignored the American Bulldog who was very "interested" in her What a racket he made!

Went into the room , vet gave Missy a treat and then we popped her on the table. Left the muzzle and the turkey at one end. She was a bit scared, because she pressed her side into her daddy.
But.... the vet got to put the scope thingy in her ears, got to listen to her heart, got to check out her teeth and her bottom! Not one whine, growl or snap!

Weight was down to middle of the ideal range for her height, which was good.

Vet told us that by next check up she would probably need a dental..and that I'd done well getting to brush her teeth. So we asked while she is in the pink of health - could it be done now - when anaesthetic won't be a big deal. So next week she'll have that.

On the floor again, our darling girl gave the vet a paw, gave the vet some kisses and even played dead for her!

What a result

sorry for the length of the post , but I am so proud of her
