Male staffy acting very strange!

Hiya
Just wondering if anybody can give me advice about my DINO? SASHA has been in season or about 14 days now and today DINO has been acting really strange - he just can`t seem to catch his breath! He has spent the whole day panting and not being able to settle down. He has paid SASHA a bit of attention but we only need to call him away and he leaves her alone. Is this because he wants her? I thought I had best check because I don`t know what I should expect - I don`t want to put it down to him just being randy in case there is something wrong with him! Please help!

Just worked it out - it has been 16 days since her season started. Don`t know if that makes any difference............

So that is normal behaviour then? I have no idea you see!! At least he isn`t ill - I have been a bit concerned, giving him extra water `cos I thought he was dehydrated!!

Sounds like a case of pure lust..... is this the first time they have been together while she's in season..... cuz it usually gets worse each time..... I have found the only to keep my boys from going totally insane is to crate all my dogs and cover them while the girls are in season...... not all day I mean... just when I want the boys to have a rest.... and most importantly don't think that leaving one dog crated means you are safe.... hehe..... I've come home many a time to one of the boys having busted out of the crate.... luckily I've had the girls crated seperatley.....

Definately sounds like he's wanting her badly.

I seperated mine, the bitch was shut away in another room and my dog actually chewed through the door frame to open the door

She's probably got about another week to go.
