Hardest thing to teach

What do you all consider to be the hardest thing to teach your dog?

I have decided it's the sendaway Sal hates it and only goes with ears and tail down.

Can I ask why you want to teach Luna that?

Sendaway ismaking the dog go away from you, towards a point/area designated in a competion but generally to make a dog go to a given place.

I am useless at explaining someone is bound to do it better sorry

In our training class, we are supposed to make the dog bark on command.

And I've heard its easier to teach a dog NOT to bark, if it has been taught to bark on command.

Hmm I dont know that sendaway, we have something where they are supposed to run out to the trainer, bark on command and be praised..... that's sort of sendaway..... Luna loves it, as she knows she gets treats, she doesnt bark though......

With Penny it is anything off lead!! She just goes deaf once the snap is taken off!!!!

With Tamino it is the stay, and the heel, and we are having some trouble with recall but thats cause he is going through that "phase".

Luna is good at most things. Retrieve is not her best feature and then the barking.

But if I would just train a bit more with her, I'm sure she'd be much better....

Heidi's is a stay while I throw the retrieve, she is just too excited and is off soon as it leaves my hand.
If I stand on her lead and throw then take the lead off she will stay there for as long as she's told.
Been trying to crack it for a year now with, and with out help from other people, but she's just too focused on retreiving.

Hey Robert, have you tried tying a really light string to her collar. For instance take her to the place with the string dragging but her on the lead, then taking the lead off, putting her in the down, and throwing the retrive. And when she runs, stand on the string and stop her. Maybe that would work.
