The sheer pleasure of meeting other people's friendly dogs

Don't you just love it when you get to meet other people's dogs and they are friendly and playful with your own dog and happy to let you pet them too?

At the park today we met two women; one had a stunning Weimaraner who was so affectionate, an utterly adorable dog.

The other woman had a huge, honey/tan and black GSD. He was less than a year old but he was enormous!

Both dogs were so friendly to my own dog and just so lovely to be around - I came home beaming

Yes-I completely understand!

I like it when we see calm small dogs that Cherry can meet and greet as she is not much good at meeting new dogs that aren't small and calm but we are getting there!

Me too

We're lucky that we've got friendly dogs & I always love watching how they interact, greet each other & bounce off for a play, or all get engrossed in some group smelling! Mine are really good with puppies too so I'm always happy for puppies to meet mine as I know it will build a pup's confidence to meet calm adult dogs.

But they still have a particular group of "special" friends that they are always delighted to see

My last walk of the day is always on the playing field so they can meet their friends. Today one of the friends was Scooby, a 9 month old King Charles being chased round the field by my Saluki. Very funny to watch. They were having a great time.

Agree can't stand it when you get bolshy/ignorant owners who barely crack their faces let alone reply to a *GOOD MORNING* when you pass them. Most of the times their dogs are nice enough though! Darwin has wooed a 6 month old king charles spaniel bitch who's owner says is not well socialised and scared of other dogs but Lover boy Winnie smooches up to her and it's love on both sides her owner always comments on how gentle Darwin is!
