Mattresses!

Been saving up for ages for a new bed and I'm finally now able to afford one.

I'm having trouble deciding on a mattress. I've looked at a few but nothing stands out.

What mattress do you have and do you like it? If not, why don't you like it?

I want a medium firmness, not too hard and not too soft.

I don't want to go above £400 (excluding base) if I can help it. I know it's not much but it's all I can afford.

Many thanks.

Ours is a no turn medium firm latex topped mattress. I love it because the extra layer makes it very very comfy but it can get hot.Ours was from Argos bought online at about 2 a.m with a bed spring impaling me from the old one! We had been and looked at some at a shop first so that we knew what we were ordering though....

I don't think I want a latex/memory foam one because I've heard a few folk say they are very hot!

I love ours. It has memory foam on the top and springs underneath. I don't think its particularly hot but maybe I'm cold blooded
I think the best way to buy a bed is to go to the shops and lie on them all. When we got this one the salesman told me to lie on it for as long as I wanted to make sure it was comfy.

I'm going to sound completely dumb for a minute.....does the memory foam contain latex? As I definitely don't want latex, I know that!
