Coming off caffeine

Any suggestions to stop the unbelievable caffeine withdrawal headaches I'm getting which doesn't involve over the counter pharmacy drugs?

Thanks

The only thing I can suggest MC is drinking plenty of water. Stick with it though, the headaches don't last long

Erm ... lots of water, vitamin C, fresh air, exercise and restful sleep.
(And paracetamol if the headache gets really bad :smt052 )

We ran out of coffee a while ago so i was drinking lemonade and all of a sudden was getting killer head aches and realised eventually what it was, after that i decided the caffeine addiction had to stop so i went and bought bottled flavoured water and stopped drinking caffeine the head aches were bad but did go eventually. I do still drink caffeine but not as much as i did before. If you can stick with it and ignore the head aches you'll get there eventually.

Thanks Guys for the advice, good luck Ellas mum

It's Diet Coke not coffee or tea, thankfully I never liked the latter so don't have to worry about those at least.

Our water is dubious in our area, upsets our tummies so we have to have bottled water instead, but when we run out, like this evening for instance, I drink diet coke

Still will be at the supermarket tomorrow to pick up the usual supply of water.

Thank you!

Hi!

I totally sympathise with you - I came off caffeine a month or so ago now and it was HARD! I had the headaches, fatique, moods, the works!
I found that drinking sugar free squash, opposed to just plain water, helped me. Something nice to taste and helps flush out the toxins in the system quicker.
