Had my ultra-sound yesterday.
Pleased to say there are no blood clots, but my doc wants me to stay on the blood thinner for now.
The tumours in my neck are pressing on my veins, which is whats causing the swelling. My blood flow is 100% at the moment, but they would rather keep me blood a little thinner, so no blood clots form.

My back is still really sore from the biopsy though! Ouch!

Glad there are no clots, just a pity you have to take the thinners to keep it that way.

Well, I suppose things start today......
I have an appointment at 2pm for a PET scan - can't eat for 6 hours before, so i'm starving!
Tomorrow at 9am I start chemo.

I had 5 inches of my hair cut off on Thursday, and layers put in, so if it goes thin, it hopefully won't look as bad.

I don't really know how i'm feeling.......I think the word 'numb' springs to mind. I'm not upset or worried at the moment, I think I just want the next week to pass, so I know what side effects I will suffer from.

Huge hugs to you and sending you Dogsey Vibes. Hope all goes well and you did well with the hair. Everyone I know who has had their hair cut short has kept all or most of it with the treatment!

You sound like such a brave "together" person Thinking of you and sending lots of good wishes your way!

I know different chemos do different things to different people but my MIL had quite an intense chemo programme a year or so ago (bowel cancer which followed from breast cancer) and she didn't lose any hair at all. The only side effect was that her teeth became very sensitive but that subsided over the months.

You are such a positive person, I'm sure you'll be just fine
