Ron - 5 month old Crossbreed (Cardiff)

Ron is a 14 week old crossbreed currently on foster in Cardiff.

The Ronnie Fact File
Dog status: Very good
Cat status: Good
Child status: Very good
House training: Work in progress due to his age
Home alone: Crate trainign has begun and he can be left for short periods which can gradually increase
Basic training: Can sit, come when called and is learning manners and boundaries gradually like all puppies

Ron is a lovely, bouncy, affectionate pup. He came in to our care from the pound with his brother after being dumped. We do not know where they came from or what they were exposed to in their early life. They have settled very well in their foster home and have shown themselves to be very good with the resdient dogs, good with cats and friendly with adults and children.

Ron has been living with adult dogs in his foster home and can be rehomed as an only dog or with canine comapny. He has just completed his vaccinations and will be going out and about for walks to socialise further with other dogs. As he is slightly delayed on ebing out and about compared to the average puppy adopted at 8 weeks his socialisation will need more focus than normal and Ron will need to be taken to puppy classes.

Like any puppy Ron is going to need training and kind, patient guidance. His house training is coming along nicely but he can still have the odd accident. He is becoming accustomed to using a crate in case his new owner will want to use one to keep him safe and secure when they are out. He is being left for gradually increasing (but short) periods so that he becomes accustomed to being confident without having human company.

Puppies must be neutered once they are old enough at the owners expense as part of the guardianship agreement and this will be followed up.

Puppies must also be taken to training classes to socialise and learn the skills required to be a well mannered adult dog.

We will not rehome puppies to full time workers.

All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. Hope Rescue rehomes throughout the UK. A Pre-Home Interest Form can be downloaded from the Hope Rescue Forum.
