itchy elbows

My border collie ice keeps scratching at her elbows , the skin is dry & slightly red, the vet told me to put some fuciderm gel on them but shes still itchy. problem is that shes scratching the hair away too.?????

Have you got any Aloe Vera Gel that is just as good as the fusiderm and seems to calem itching down quite a lot.

Try some Sudocrem (that you get for babies nappy rash) thats also very good and a lot of people on here use it for their dogs - you can usually buy it from supermarkets as well as chemists Also have you tried giving her Piriton to see if it helps her stop scratching?

Or try Germoline cause it contains a local annestetic so should take away some of the itchy sensation.
