GSDs can have 24 bouts of what used to be called GSD Tummy & the liquid poo is typical of this. It can happen if the dog is stressed or upset & the onset of teething can also cause this.

They are usually sensible & don't eat during the day & the next day they can be totally back to normal Most flustrating at times, fortunately it doesn't usually occur too oftern

Glad he's almost back to normal

Human babies can get upset tummies which causes the runs when they are teething so Im wondering if the same can happen in dogs ?

It can... It did with Luna... When she was teething, she had a runny tummy for a month

I am very pleased Fern is feeling better
Teething can upset dogs in a number of ways, but if a puppy mixes with lots of dogs and developes a tummy problem that lasts more than 24 hours I think it is wise not to assume it is just teething and to seek advice in case it is something more serious. Like humans, puppies can pick up all sorts of bugs that usually get better in a day or so.
