What bone type substitutes can I feed my ESS pup

My puppy is soon going to be 4 months old and read a lot about not giving him bones, or rawhide stuff, so wondered what you consider would be good to give him a chance to have a chew/gnaw at something.

I know nothing about the types of bone substitutes that might be good or nice for him.

He has had some beef jerky and sea jerky treats but these last less than seconds.

any suggestions gratefully received please

I always found dried tripe was popular with pups if you can bear the smell!

Just give him the real thing - raw bones, he'll be absolutely fine, honest injun!

Tripe sticks always go down well here (and yes they do pong a bit) also ostrich twisters which are tendons which don't splinter ( but they don't last long ) & pigs ears.

Do you really want to know............?

Its, erm, dried bull's penis It's hung up, dried and stretched into chewy sticks. Dogs love it though and it's fairly healthy as it's not deep fried or anything like a lot of treats e.g. paddywack.
