If you put it on right before you go out he won`t notice it.

My friend`s un-neutered and somewhat short Westie has a whole different problem with ice-balls.

i think it depends on the breed..all mine are breeds with arched toes, big pads n well furred feet,wether they all like it is another question!lol.

dont now about cold but some mushers put boots on there dogs feet to stop ice balls

Molly has a full coat and the snow forms in clumps on her legs and feet. She has a great time for a good while before she gets fed up and stands staring at me, with one paw up, to let her go home. Then she's defrosted in lukewarm water in the shower. Poor thing!

you can buy a product called paw wax which is great for stopping them getting sore feet and ice forming, it also helps protect them from the rock salt thats spread about, it also helps give them a bit of grip on slippery roads believe it or not.

rock salt can do damage to dogs feet, it can nip and burn, so even if you use paw wax and defo if you dont, give your dogs feet a quick clean when you come in

I always keep some handy.

jake never seems bothered by the cold... whether he is or not, i dont know but he shows no sign of it.
