What an epidural?
I had them before, not as bad as you think they will be.

How about my wife Fay, as I said earlier, she had a full knee replacement done last year.

She was admitted into hospital and the surgeon said she should have an epidural as he did'nt want to give her a general anaesthetic.
He then went on to say that she could watch the whole operation on closed cicuit TV as she would still be awake. They would position the monitor above the operating table so she could see every detail.

She did watch the whole procedure,
After the op, the physio girl said to her, that they have to sit and watch the ops as part of their training, she said "there's no way I could watch that getting done to me".

I told our GP the story and he said, "good for her, did she get a video of it by any chance" .

Knee is coming along well after my little accident last week.

Hydrotherapy this evening and they are pleased with my progress. 115 degree bend I'm going up by 3 - 5 each week which is great! Had a referral to see the orthopaedic specialist in a few weeks to discuss the wires and whether I can have them out before December because they are preventing me from straightening my knee fully and it's agony to try to keep it straight when lifting off of the bed or anything like that.

All in all, it's not going too badly at the moment much better than it has been anyway!

Loosing your temper aint good for you, especially with high cholesterol,

Think, calm sea's, blue ocean's, green pastures, warm sunsets, gentle babbling brooks,

Well I got out of bed this morning with terrific cramp in my leg then when I started to walk it was as if I had pulled a muscle. Like hopalong cassidy now, only some of you will probably know who that is. Was only thinking the other day well with all that is wrong with me at least my legs are okay. I think I need to stop thinking.

Where do I start, well, firstly I am slowly escaping My hair is rather thin, one eye doesn't really work, my teeth are shot, and dodgy stammer (at times) and to cap it all off both of my feet have escaped me. I should get a reduced price funeral, there's only half of me here.

My diabetes is staying steady, well most of the time, but sick of having injections twice a day. Still popping tablets, but not as many as I was was taking 5 morning, 3 lunch and 7 night time, but now I'm down to 3,2,5 respectively.

At the moment I have two bleeding stumps, can only wear one leg so stuck in wheelchair at the moment, got a prosthetic appointment on 15th September, probably make me another leg, which will take another two weeks so looking at the beginning of October before I can walk again! that's if I can remember how to walk!

Ian
