My mum is a chronic smoker - she smokes 20plus untipped a day and lights up between shops It really p*sses me off. This is going to make her sound terrible, but she looked after Mollie when she was 2 and she burned her arm with a cigarette. Its no wonder I hate it, and I'm an ex smoker too. I'm disgusted that she is so addicted she had to do it around her grandkids....

point taken Chloe and I think even the smokers amoungst us would not be very happy with that either but to ban smoking in public places is a little unfair to those who choose to smoke, but i understand where your coming from

On the news this morning it was mentioned they don't think the government'll do an outright ban in public places only in restraunts and they are particularly targeting women too.

i would love to give up smoking, just don,t have much willpower at the moment
i think it would be good to ban it in public places as us smokers would have to wait just that little bit longer before sparking up again and that will help us to cut down and maybe then give up

I don't get out much either, OH has just gone out to look for his mum's birthday present but I have to stay in waiting for a phone call. Typical.
