I don't use them. Bit hard to hold when you are being dragged along by a couple of Danes and they would probably try and pull it down and eat it. I know my Petal would, she even tried to eat the bulb in her kennel I had to put a tube light in but she still managed to pull the power socket off the wall when it was live.

On that happy note (Incas Post), shall we just leave it there and lock this thread?

Glad to see no personal insults being thrown at each other tho!

IMO I think there are many things in life that we do, where we should stop and consider others, whether that is playing music too loud, letting our dogs off-lead around people who are frightened of dogs, or whether that is wearing HUGE AMOUNTS of perfume (when some of us are allergic to the smell!) or whether that is being careless and poking someone in the eye with am oversized unbrella! Why must we consider others? simply because it's the decent thing to do and we would like the same courtesy extended to ourselves if 'we' were on the other side.

Now this is by no means a go at people who smoke (I was a smoker too once!) but simply something for all of us to think about...

My post was not directed at you Laura, and if you feel I insulted you then I apologise, but to say my attack was personal is unjustified.

At the end of the day you as a smoker have the right to smoke and thats that, I as a non smoker have to put up with it.

I think loads of good points have been made.As an ex smoker i sometimes wonder if im being hypocritical moaning about smoke in pubs and restaurants but i thinks its really antisocial people smoking when others are eating!!my friend lights up between courses, its disgusting, and makes it impossible for us to enjoy our food!!
I used to smoke in pubs though but never when out eating, so i think a first step would be for food places to ban smoking, not sure bout pubs though, although i know is a big health risk etc.
A lot of my friends smoke and we go out for drinks together, but i cant say i enjoy being in a smokey atmosphere really!!
