Why would you want to be associated with the porn industry (and lets face it, it might be pink and a cute bunny, but it's still a porn symbol!)

I don't need to do anything, because you have said so.

What I said about the Playboy thing is putting it mildly, believe me.
You have a right to your opinions, of course. I really couldn't give a stuff if you think that a pencil case with a bunny on is the road to porn. It's so silly that I can't even comment, so I'll leave it. Like I said, I have two very well-behaved and respectful girls. Neither of them have ever been close to a boy and both have very high morals, so to hear your comments on porn, etc., really seems ludicrous.

Anyway, as it's off topic, we'd best return to the issue - 13 and 15 year olds as parents.

Totally away from the fact he is a child, and the benefits aspect
but since WHEN did boys go out with older girls when you're teenagers?!? It's nearly always been the reverse of girls going out with a guy the same age or goin up to about three years older. It's always seemed to that way, since when did it change? God I feel oldddd now and i'm still very much enjoying my encore years of teenageness still, but jeeesus christ...13 years old, I didn't even realize what it was for then!

And I was still out playing, and out on my bike at 12!

How times have changed in such a short time, it's scary, actually. Kids seem to be growing up far too fast these days.

I read the whole article yesterday and watched the video and find the whole thing shocking mainly due to the fact he looks so young.

I don't think this has come about in the last few years its something that has been growing for a while. I'm 28 now and remember when i was 13 people in my year at school going on the fields and drinking cheap cider and getting up to allsorts. Some of them was from well to do families as well so there was no class divide. Neither I or any of my friends ever dreamed of doing that, i think it depends on how you grow as a person and the kind of person you are.

Children today grow up to fast in my opinion, i look at my friends neices and nephews and its shocking, one had her hair dyed for her 8th birthday and had a proper make up set. At that age i was more then happy with some new Sylvanians and a trip to the zoo.

I totally agree.

I'm 23 and was surrouned by folk my age drinking, smoking, some taking drugs etc, and no part of me ever wanted to do that, or even try it. I have never so much as tried a cigarrette, I never would.

And I hardly ever drink, and never touched a drop of alcohol until I was 21. I last had a couple of glasses of champagne while in London a month ago.

Now, my mother and her twin were brought up the same, so I'm told. My mother went off the rails, got pregnant with me at 16, had me at 17, dropped out of school as soon as she could. Her twin went to university at 18 to train to be a nurse, she now works as a specialist nurse in London. Two totally different people.

Unfortunately in this case, most of the family members seem to live on benefits, and have all these children! It's just not right.

how about when a sexually active girl is pregnant but doesn`t want to name the father so cons a naive little boy into losing his virginity then slaps a paternity case on him?

Of course this is pure speculation and may be totally a figment of my nasty suspicious mind but...

does anyone else find the whole thing a bit odd?

They `slept together` once.
He was a virgin
He hadn`t reached puberty
She was older
she was sexually active.
They slept together in the girls` parents home

Yes, very good point there. I wonder if the papers will pick up on this?

I was really shocked by this story, dont know why, teenage pregnancies have been happening for years but yes, he does look soooo young.

I have to agree with the playboy thing too, i just think its wrong to use playboy to target young girls, playboy is associated with porn, end of. Children are growing up far too quickly these days as it is and why some parents would want to encourage it is beyond me, it may be a cute little bunny on the outside but we all know what the logo stands for, why would you want your children anywhere near it?!!

Society today is sex mad, its everywhere and we try to protect our children from as much as we can so, why then go out and buy them playboy stuff??

At the end of the day I think we all agree that this behaviour from a 12 year old boy and a 15 year old girl is unacceptable not to mention illegal and the parents are completely irresponsible to allow this to happen. Social services should be investigating the homes of these young parents.
It doesn't matter what their background is whether they be from families on benefit or from working parents. At the end of the day what chance do they or their baby have with the circumstances as they stand. What kind of life are they or their baby going to have and how irresponsible is the newspaper for reporting on it and paying them for the story.
I find the whole thing completely distasteful and sad.

Apparently social services and the police investigated as soon as the pregnancy was confirmed. The police have stated it is no ones interest to prosecute.
If they are on benefits and do get money from the story then I wuld hope that their benefits would be adjusted accordingly, though no doubt there will be a way to get round that.

As for the Playboy symbol, it is s product of the sex industry and whoever thought it appropriate to market a children needs their head examining. The fact it has now 'normalised' that image is frightening, but hey if it makes money for the licensee that must make it ok.
