Strong headed wheaten

Hi guys,

My wheaten is 5. She is headstrong (as all terriers) and sometimes does not listen to instructions (though she was well trained until about 1.5 years ago). My question is whether or not she "remembers" if I start training her again?

Thanks so much!

I'd have thought so but it's always beneficial to keep up with training as its a reminder that they get rewarded for doing things you ask them to.

I have always found training never stops, reminders daily and make it fun they enjoy it too.

Behaviour that is not rewarded will extinguish. Go back to basics and she will pick it up again, probably faster than the first time she learned it. Use lots of treats and praise to reinforce good behaviour.

You may enjoy a book called Terrier Centric Training (think that title is right).
