Anyone have any ideas?

Hi everyone! I've been having a little bit of trouble and I was hoping you all might have some ideas.

In my Humanities class in school, I'm working on a drawing of a wolf's face. I'm not trying to give myself credit or anything, but I enjoy drawing canines and so do fairly well. My only hurdle with drawing dogs is creating the eyes.

On my wolf, I have its ears all fluffed out and its cheeks fluffed out, too. I tend to draw the eyes after I get these first basics done. I started drawing one of its eyes and did fairly well with it. But then I realized I had drawn it too close to the center of the head and so I erased it. When I tried to redraw it in the right place, I couldn'! It was like I used all my drawing strength for today on that one eye!

I was wondering if any of you had any drawing websites that you knew of that might be able to give me some help or suggestions on drawing a canine's eyes. I know some of you might think, "Hah! I don't know anything about art!" But I can really use your help. I've tried doing some searches on Dogpile and Google but couldn't come up with anything. So I was hoping that you all here might be able to help me out! Thanks so much for anything!

When my art project is finished, I'll be sure to scan it so you all can see the finished product. But it'll take about a week before I finish it.

-Tara

There are many books available on how to draw various animals. Perhaps your library could help?

Hi Tara, one tip I was given was, if you are copying from a photo turn the pic upside down til you get the basics done. It works!!
