Another seizure

2 am - Day 14 or I do not know, may be Day 15.

My bed is soaked because Pereg lost bladder control and has lost bowel control and has expressed her anal glands and it is coming up to 2.30am and I cannot cope any more.

Want to phone my vet to come and stop it. I can not cope with it any more.

Oh Malka I'm so sorry to hear Pereg's had another seizure. My heart goes out to you both! Everything seems ten times worse when it happens in the middle of the night and you're all alone.

One thing I've learnt about you is that you're a very strong lady and even though you might at this moment be in the depths of despair you'll get through this latest crisis as you always do. Hang in there!

My love and prayers

Barbara

Pereg had a strong injection of diazepam and is now on quite high doses or oral diazepam so should be doped up. Just waiting really to see whether she has another seizure in the next few hours.

Hugs, hugs and more hugs.

Only you know when it is time, only you know if she is suffering with the seizures, you have tried so hard with her, she would have gone some time ago with another owner.

We can't give you physical help but can support you.

Hugs

No, she is not suffering because she is not aware of what is happening, and I am being selfish because I am having more and more problems in coping. I will be speaking with Ram again once the surgery is open and will probably increase her 11pm Pb from 65mg to 100mg without waiting for the now overdue blood tests.

Somehow we have to do something and Ram does not want to add Kbr and risk possible/probably ataxia. At the moment Pereg is 100% normal when she does not have seizures, and she is not suffering.

You are not being selfish, you are human and can only do what you can do. I had this with my late husband and had to have waterproof bedding on his bed. I suspect it is a lot easier with a person than a dog.
