What bones would be the best?

Marco is fed on dry food and apart from the odd vegetable he doesn't have anything else. I'd like to get him a bone to eat but am not sure as to what's the best / safest - he's now 15 weeks and has got a lovely set of teeth for having a good chomp.
Any info/advice would be much appreciated.
Cath

My suggestion would be chicken wings or carcasses. Chomble chomble chomble!

Mine go nuts for chicken wings and pork ribs
The big'uns are fine, but puppy tries to swallow his in one go so I have to hold it for him to chew on

If you're sticking with the dry I would go for big knuckle joints as they gnaw away on them without making much progress in demolishing them. If you feed chicken wings etc they are usually gone in seconds, possibly minutes depending on the dog and you will need to adjust the quantity of dry food fed too.

Don't ever give him cooked bones or rawhide. Apart from that the world is your lobster really.
Mine have bones from being 3 weeks or so old, so nothing for you to worry about at 15 weeks!!!

As we can't get beef or lamb bones over here I buy pigs trotters for mine. I get the butcher to chop them into three pieces because Chloe is a small dog with the tiniest teeth I've ever seen. She loves them especially tearing off the rind! She also gets chicken wings and necks but her favourite are chicken legs which she demolishes in seconds!

Try telling that to Tonks! If I don't watch her she will eat a whole knuckle in a few hours!

She does grind away at it rather than snap big chunks off it, but she will steadily grind away until its all gone.
