I've been a few places in Canada commissioning electrical equipment on ice brakers. One was Collingwood, about 100km north of Toronto. I was there in winter when it was -20C and back in July when is was above +30C. Extremes....

Yeah southern Ontario temperatures are a real stretch, from freezing cold winters to hot humid summers. I love summer.

Straying a little off topic.......
The icebreaker was in drydock. Steel hull, sub zreo temperature. Uncomfortable. I walked over to the workshop a few times. Everyone was gathered round a stove. The reception wasn't very warm though. They saw me as taking their jobs. Another story for a different time.

On my later trip in summer I realised what I walked over was frozen solid water on the lake.

It was an inlet of Lake Ontario. They were driving fork lift trucks over it.

Of all the places I went to in Canada from St Johns to Vancouver island is was not my best experience
