We usually pay for worming £2.50 a tablet. For a consultation it is about £13. Although you dont see the vet for worming just the nurse, so only get charged for the tablets.

When Star had enteritis at Christmas we were charged £29 that was for antibiotics, injection, prescription dog food and consultation.

We were £35 for her first two injections and £25 for her booster.

There were LOADS in his poo! (dead tho i think!)
He seems a lot happier in himself now tho - but hes obviously pood in the garden and although I pick it up and chuck it, you cant always get every last bit up n Im worried hes gonna get them again - how long do the tbas 'stay in his sytem for'? ie how long is he protected? I dont even know how he caught them as I never let him sniff other dogs poos when we are out!

I worm Star every 3 months with Drontal. So far she has not had worms. Its just one of these things that happen and you probably will never find out where he picked them up.

Oh Azz, how horrible That must have been gross to see :smt078 He'll be better soon. I was reading about worms and saw they were contagious to humans. It started freaking me out when I read it! Glad to hear the vet said it was unlikely

They can be but it's normally more a risk for children (they play in mud etc fall in dog poo or touch it and then put fingers in mouth etc).

Also I think it affects behind the eyes in humans... yuk!
