Dead dog

Was walking the mags today and I came upon a wee dead dog near a beck, obviously been there some time as it took me half a minute to even realise it was a dog. No idea what had happened to it, poor thing, is there anything I should do? Should I ring the council? It's only wee, about cocker size but short hair, prob a mongrel. But it didn't half smell.

Made me feel really sad wondering what happened to the poor thing.

Not sure what to do really, guess it would be the local council dog warden that would remove it, i dont think the RSPCA would but i would report it anyway it cant just stay there, poor dog hope it didnt suffer. You would have thought the owners would have reported it missing.

So sad. I agree that the council would be the best people to call.

Run free little one, safe from harm. xx

Hi Random , I would report it to the police. A couple of years ago I was on my way to work one Sunday evening and saw a little JRT at the side of the road. I stopped to see if I could do anything but it was dead . I rang the police, (the local number from the phone book not 999 ) and told them I wasn't sure who I should inform but was concerned about someone having lost a dog and thought they might have reported it missing .The police took the details and the dog was gone in the morning.
