Peeing at the slightest thing.

George is 3-4mnths old & pees whenever someone new approaches. He also for the last two days has pee'd when I have gone down to let him out in the morning. He just seems so pleased to see me that he lets rip. Is this normal & something that will go away on it's own or is there a way of preventing it.
It's all new to me!!!!

It appears to be over excitement on puppy's part.
Puppy may be getting excited at the prospect of the greeting.
Try not to greet straight away or make too much fuss and ask other visitors to do the same if puppy appears too excited until it calms down.

Office lurcher used to greet every exciting visitor by peeing on their feet. She grew out of it.

Like the general answer here " they grow out of it" lets hope it's soon as mopping up at 5.00am is not my idea of fun

Make sure you don't tell pup off as it can't help it. You may like to just check that you aren't exacerbating the situation by the way pup is approached - overexcitement, nervousness can both be a cause of this problem!

A fab resource for pups, by the way, is Ian Dunbar's "before and after you get your puppy" , I believe it is available to download online - check out DogStarDaily for information
