So sorry to be reading this, all the best for Monday with Bandit, and I hope you don't have to consider chemo for him, I hope they can give him the proper treatment a.s.a.p. you've certainly gone to great lengths to do the best for him I can see that, so I wish you all the best with the outcome.

Thanks all for your well wishes, much appreciated.

The eye is not a problem.. as he has already lost the sight in it..losing it wont matter (cept losing his good looks)

But the mass is the worrying factor, both the eye specialist and my own vet do not see it as operable..being where it is... the US shows it to be around the nasal cavity more than behind the eye.

And give the limited space there , it seems impossible to remove.

I have always said Chemo is not something I would put a dog through... and am still of this mind... unless it proves to be a good option...

This is something we need to talk over after Monday, when we find the severity of the mass...

For the most part, I dont think it is applying any pressure to his brain, otherwise I am sure we would be seeing symptoms...

Roll on Monday... so we know what and how we are going to deal with this.

Jackie , I have read that in the USA some ocular masses are treatable with lasers..
Not sure if this treatment is available here at one of the veterinary hospitals but the specialist you see on Monday will know.

Not sure if they do it here but the specialist you see on monday will know if ithis treatment is availible .
At the moment no!! I expect once we get the results from the MRI we will have a better idea.

But from what my vet and eye specialist said it is going to be extremely difficult to get a biopsy.

All pie in the sky at the mo... I will have to investigate this next wk.

Eye specialist said, that the danger of taking a biopsy from the mass will or could aggravate it , causing it to branch out.

You know what is distressing me the mos t, and I know this is the least of my worries. is the fact he has lost all sight in the eye... sitting next to him last night on his blind side and trying to see if any sight in there( I know thats silly) and the fact he was oblivious to my hand .... I know this is irrational... but it just upset me.

I am worried sick over my boy...I know, I am coming across controlled..but believe me I am not..(none of us are) I cant lose this boy, he is my special special friend...
