can any recomend an insurance company? Iwant covering for illness and accidents.

Direct Line were fantastic with us

Kennel Club have comprehensive lifelong cover available. They will usually cover everything within reason. Their excess is also accumalative, so for example if you chose £75 & 10%, had a £275 vet bill which was the first occurence, you would pay £75 then 10% of the £200, which would be 95 you pay, 180 they pay. If you then go to the vets for a follow up etc, basically for the same illness/injury, you will only pay 10% of the bill, not the £75. In year two if it reoccurs it does start afresh however, so £75 then 10%. You may find most insurers ask you to pay like £60 EVERYTIME YOU GO TO THE VETS. It sounds cheaper when you first think, but really when you sit down and play it through your mind, KC comes out top.
