Trotters

Hi,could someone p;ease tell me if you feed pigs trotters as a meal or more of a treat? Thanks

Depends on the size of your dog and the size of the trotter.

I would have thought for Clumber spaniels, it would class as one meal.

When I give my two a trotter, they get it with half a lb of mince as well, but they're GSDs, so a fair bit bigger than yours

Mine get trotters as a meal, my GSD gets more than one and the LHW gets one. Depends on size of trotters really.

Ok thanks, these are quite large so I will feed as one meal, I have yet to find something they don't like, they love this raw feeding lark!

They weigh a lot, I feed it as a meal. I also find them very boney and he'll do several white poos the next day Best served with liver.

Chloe, I have no idea how you're going to chop one up for a CC, they are pretty solid!

think i might just let them munch till theyve had enough then put them back in the freezer... they dont eat and eat, only till their full so i could try it.

A meat cleaver makes realtive light work of them

I love using the meat cleaver lol. If you turn a pigs head so it's snout to eyes is on the floor (I do it on the grass), and aim the cleaver to the middle and hit it with force, it splits the head in one go down the middle
