I Wanna Take My Puppy For A Walk. How long to wait after final vaccination?

Hiya everyone
My Obi has had his third injection on friday night. How long did you all leave it till you took your dogs outside after the third injection ?????

My dogs only had 2 injections.

It also depends what type of vaccination your dog had. Some don't have to wait at all, some a week, some 2 weeks.....your vet should have told you!

How is Obi doing now anyway?

I thought they only have to have 2 jabs!

I have been told by my vet that i can take her out 7 days after her 2nd jab!

Help! Should i get getting her a third jab?

I've only ever heard of pups having 2 sets of injections.
If your vet you can take her out 7 days after her 2nd jab, then thats fine
You take her out!!

the breeder gave him one jab...

then we took him for one about four weeks ago.
and then friday he had another...

yeah the vet said to wait untill next week to take him out...
but i was wondering if they were just being over cautious........

Tyson had 2 injections. And my vet recommended waiting 7 days after the 2nd jag before taking him on a proper walk. Maybe a quick phonecall to your vets would be best......just to check.

I'd only ever heard of giving 2 jabs but then again im not the most experienced doggy person!

Perhaps your vet is giving Obi three because of everything that has gone on with him. Maybe he needs a little more time to let his body adjust? Give your vet a call and ask them how long you have to wait before you can take him walkies!

I know i cant wait to be able to take mine walkies! although she will probably be a shaking littke scaredy cat one minute then bold as brass then next

Our vet said we could take Benji out five days after his second injection - he was just over 12 weeks old then.

obi is so cute i just wanna take him out and let him run all over this massive field with have just outside of our house.

he is scared of the vacuum though so it will be interesting to see how he copes with cars..........

Hi Kerrijane it really depends on what kind of vaccine your vet used, the best person to ask about this is your vet and I would ring him and ask him on Monday.
