Registered vs unregistered

If you were to buy a dog from a breeder or dogs that you knew were purebred, would you prefer registered or unregistered?

because i know several breeders that make it optional, or charge extra. Just wanting to know what people prefer

doesn't matter one iota to me . Provided the dog comes from a decent home, the bit of paper doesn't matter as I'd not show anyway so it wouldn't be needed for anything

Registered but that's because in the future there's the slim chance that i would want to show.
But, what's imperative is a clear, accurate family tree and the appropriate health tests of the parents.
