The Dance

Looking back on the memory of
the dance we shared, beneath the stars above.
For a moment all the world was right,
how was I to know that you'd ever say good bye?
And now I'm glad I didn't know
the way it all would end, the way it all would go.
Our lives are better left to chance,
I could have missed the pain,
but I'd have had to miss the dance.
Holding you, I held everything,
for a moment, wasn't I the king?
If I'd only known how the king would fall

And now I'm glad I didn't know

You were the most amazing girl, you made friends with everyone, dog and human alike, you stole so many hearts.

I cannot imagine how we are going to get through the next few days, months years without you, I keep seeing your face and the tears fall without end.

You were our light, our ray of sunshine, our 'Rugabug'.

If I could give 10 years of my life in exchange for 1 more day with you I would, I want you back little big girl, I want to give you one more hug, one more kiss, to run my fingers through your fur, to tickle your ears and to smell your smell.

Please know, that we will never ever forget you.
