@ The Vets..

I had Cassy at the vets today first thing as most of you will know about her Dew Claw which came out.

Anyway when I went in there was nobody in the waiting room and I was first in to see the vet, not unusual as I was booked in for as soon as the doors opened.

Anyway on my way out there was a lady with a Weimariner (sp?) in the waiting room and as I went to the desk to pay the VN lent over to give Cassy a clap as they usually do and Cassy puts both paws on the desk so she is on her hind legs to get a better view and to get closer to the VN for some attention (tail going like mad), they all adore her.

The woman with the Weim commented on her colouring as she had never seen a white Stafford before, then as I was waiting on the prescription she commented on what a happy and friendly dog Cassy was and how nice it was to see that she was good with other dogs (Cassy at this point has two front feet on the floor and the bum in the air trying to play with the Weim). She had some pre-conceptions about the breed and was obviously pleasantly surprised.

I came away feeling good and she came away with a better take on bull breeds so all in all I would say it was a good visit lol. Its nice when your able to change somebodys pre-conceptions!

That is what I thought and why I thought I would share it. Its so nice to be able to show off Cassy and change some peoples perception of the breed.

It great when we can educate some "idiots"! Not saying the woman in the vet was an idiot, just that there are so many ppl that just belive what they hear

Thanks Anne she is okay but very sore. She was at the vets this am and the vet put her on antibiotics for a week if she is still sore then I have to go back for Xrays as sometimes the infection spreads. Lucky for Cassy the whole claw actually came right out, although sore it was better for her as if there was anything still there today the vet was going to put her under and remove it, so that was lucky.

If its not one thing with the dogs its another lol.

I had, uptil recently, only bad experiences with staffys from the owners who tend to have them here in DK.
