This Morning's pet weight loss clinic!

Am just watching This Morning while on the pc - they've got a feature on about weight loss in pets. They've just weighed a lab who weighs 55kg!!! Her elderly owner can't walk her and feeds her on chocolate! Apparently the owner didn't realise she was getting fat. Poor, poor dog.

Sorry but how can you not realise, the dog was huge ! We notice if ours put on just a tiny amount and either decrease foodie treats or exercise more.

I think sometimes it's hard to admit your dog is fat! Ignorance is bliss as they say! I know someone whose dog is quite over weight, and I keep telling them but they just ignore it?? It's not too bad now cos the dog is still quite young, but he's quite a large breed so you can imagine the strain on his joints as he gets older! Woody got quite fat during the foot and mouth crisis cos all the fields were shut. At first we didn't notice til people started commenting, then we suddenly realised! Thankfully he is now a slimline 29kgs, and much better for it!
But 55kgs, there's no excuse for that! Plus chocolate is poisonous for dogs, poor dog must've felt like s**t!

Do we know if they are going to do a follow up on the dog on the programme at all?
