South of Eng Gundog (Gordon Setters) - weeny brag from us with pics

Had a pretty good day yesterday.

Connor 2nd in Junior - beaten by a dog that got his last JW point so v. pleased for his owner.

Angus 4th in Graduate - beaten by some lovely dogs - he is taking his time getting his coat and act together still We were inside and Angus really doesn't like the inside halls but he was really well behaved for him!

We were first in the breed classes 10am but Jess and Emily were in handling and that didn't start til 3pm so a lot of hanging around - not a bad venue - cafe (that's cheap as chips) and nice walk by the canal.

Although one owners dog fell off the side - bit of a drop and had to be assisted by two chaps to get her back out. Thandi it was poor wee Lily - but she was none the worse although think Emma (her owner) was a bit shocked as she couldn't get her out on her own.

Well it was worth all the hanging around as Jess got 2nd - v. close to first place beaten by an 11 yo with a FCR - but she even said to Jess it was v. close. So really pleased for Jess - put on a great performance and Connor was a star for her

Poor Ems doesn't have a dog to handle so borrowed one who last minute wouldn't play ball for her so she didn't get placed but she did really well up to that point - only silly mistakes - wish Angus would behave for her but he is too strong sadly and can be an idiot for me let alone Ems!

Here are some pics of the boys taken at the show.

Connor - still does a lazy sit!

Two boys together - Angus and Connor

Angus stacked - still needs more coat but getting there

Connor close up such a sweetie

Thanks for looking

Thanks - Angus has already muckied himself jumped in the trough on our walk this morning whilst drinking - so all that grooming wasted LOL!!

And yes next time Angus does something naughty he's yours LOL!!! Mind you he is behaving himself - touches wood rapidly - surely he can't be growing up he's only 2!!!

Well done on a great day, and I agree with everyone, they are soooo handsome!

We have a Gordon Setter puppy in our obedience class and she has the cutest little tufty hairdo on top of her head!!
