Poor old Sash.

Had to take poor old Sash (almost 12) to the vets with me today. She has been really off colour for the last couple of days and not a happy soul. No particular symptom that I could go running to the vet with, just not herself. She was anxious as well as being lethargic and 'flat' (if that makes any sense).
It turns out that she is having (probably) a flare up in her arthritis and has a 2nd degree heart murmur.
They have started her on a course of Catrophen (or Cartrophen) as well as her Rimadyl and Glucosamine.
I hope this does the trick. She is def not her usual stubborn and playful self!

One question! Do heart murmurs develop with age or have they always been there? She has had surgery and x rays etc before and this was never found.

Hope she feels better soon. Dogs can develop a heart problem after a virus but I'm not knowledgeable to know if a heart murmer is one of them. Have seen a vet nurse reply to some threads hope she reads this one.
