Whistle training?

When we had Alfie, he was already trained to come to the sound of the whistle. (We had him when he was 16 weeks old)
We still use this method, and he reacts straight away every time.

How do we actualy train Scoobie to react. Will he learn from Alfie, in as much that when I whistle and Alfie comes, if Scoobie comes and I reward him is this sufficiant,

I'd guess he should 'pick it up' from them but also encourage him and praise him loads when he does (?)

My pup learned from my older dog to recall to a whistle. Scoobie should learn from Alfie with no difficulty. Blowing the whistle at meal times will help to associate the whistle with rewards. Always praise & reward the pup when he does follow the older dog to you in response to the whistle.
