Montana chewed up at least 15 pairs of shoes, most of which were mine, during his chewing career... It ended when he was about a year and a half. Good luck, and keep the shoes UP!

I have been really lucky with Star. She did not chew shoes or any household stuff.

The worst she did was open a case of 24 fruit shoots and chew the lids off them them empty them all over the bed It is funny now but to think back we could have killed her Had to go out and get a new mattress and bedding. That is her one and only lapse.

Aloha everyone...another newbie here. Great site by the way. I have been lurking around for a while reading all of the great posts. To this one though I just have to post.

My two Corsos chewed EVERYTHING all the way up until they were separated (I moved to Hawaii so they had to enter quarantine) from our furniture and shoes and clothing and I could go on and on. My favorite however was when they chewed both my custom-made, not even a year old sofa and loveseat set. They literally ate the couch!! I heard stories from others but never believed they could be that destructive. Usually pulled their capers off at night but this time they had both broken out of their crates while we were out. Still love them though...replaced the furniture and just tried to be more diligent.

Anyway, they are home now (just got out last week) and are doing great, no chewing...yet!

Hello Moo,

Actually I did feel like crying but I was in too much of a shock at the time to do anything. Imagine walking into your house and seeing little bits of foam all along the entry way. As soon as I saw it I knew....I just followed the trail.

They were only pups though (very active pups with big strong teeth) so I just had to get over it. I love them to pieces.

Karen
