Hold the treat lower down, with the lab pup I needed to have it nearly on the floor and moving to get it one way.

ooo I likes this - I've just had a go wth Tilly & some cheese. It took 3 pieces holding above her nose by which time she got it & followed it round. Then we did 2 spins - I think that's enough for now, will keep practising though!!
Must have missed last weeks - will go find!!

We're doing ok too. Have got Maggie doing the spin but she gets so excited about the treat that it all goes a bit out of control.........is very fun though!

Having got Cin doing it, we thought we would try with Miss Kia....the I dont do tricks dog

Im pleased to report that she was also successful, if a little over exuberant (sp) LOL so i have some additional bruises but 2 dogs that will now spin for treats.

I need to progress to not actually having the food in my hand when they spin as they only follow it at the moment so thats my next challenge to improve on what we have.

well I think I've cracked it! Monty did his first spin tonight without having to guide him round! It wasn't a perfect spin admittedly but it's a step in the right direction considering it's only Tuesday!! Should be fluent enough to get video footage by the weekend!
