I have a wolf

We went to the forest yesterday. We were on the main track with Tango on a longline and Cosmo and my son at points were in and out of the trees. Anyway at one point Cosmo was a little out of sight and we saw a man approaching so we called him.

About 30 seconds after calling him we heard the most almighty scream...... 'Oh my'thought I....here we go....the dog phoebics are out and we're going to get an earful.

We then saw a lady pushing a childs bike who was biting her lip. She was calming down her son who appeared out of the trees..'it's ok' she was saying. She then grinned at us...as did the man.

We checked the boy was okay as Cosmo came bounding out of the woods after her son and they laughed and said 'oh yes...but we've just been telling him all about wolves!!! '
The poor boy had thought Cosmo coming up behind him was a wolf...he did laugh once he had got over the shock and saw our two wagging away! I wonder how fast he would have run it we had had a more northern breed with us?!!!! Bless him.

And I bet Cosmo just thought it was all a game

Makes you wonder what sort of stories they had been telling the boy though to make him scream when he thought he'd soon a wolf

We used to get situations like this the whole time Ramble with Hal ! Less so with Tai, funnily enough, because I think he looks more wolfy than Hal. He's got the lovely wolf eyes which Hal didn't have.

We were surrounded yesterday in the pub by young children and a sweet little toddler who all wanted to pat the wolf ! I didn't have my camera with me, but there must have been 4 or 5 of them all patting him and exclaiming how soft he is ! I assume they meant his fur !!
