Castration, bruise or internal bleeding ?
Hi,Had my boy fixed on Tuesday, i,ve noticed what looks like bleeding under the skin, at the base of his penis, rignt next to but not around the stitches.
I,m not sure if this is just start of bruising, which vet said there would be some, or if it,s something more serious ?
If anybody who has had their dog neutered could tell me what it,s supposed to look like i,d be very grateful.

He,s first boy i,ve had since i was little, and first i,ve had fixed so i had no idea what it was supposed to look like. Was starting to panic,had visions of them having to operate again.
I,ll keep my eye on it but i,m relieved now you,ve said that.

it looks fine to me just bruised tissue. There is no swelling or discharge and the area looks clean and healthy.I would keep an eye on it and of course if you are concerned ring the vet.
