It's really early days yet for you, and the loss of your family member is still very raw.
How is his friend (the other little dog) doing without Dennis around?
Thanks for sharing the lovely video.
Ahh, thank you.
There are a couple of little friends in the video. Minnow my terrier is surprisingly ok, but then she has always spent the weekends elsewhere (with son at his dad's). The little tan pup Ralph, is no longer with us, he was killed in October .

As for my daxie, Digger, he is ok in the house but outside his confidence is shot to pieces & is nervous of everything, barking at people/bikes/other dogs

What a wonderful tribute to a truly handsome boy, he looks like he was a beautiful soul.

Keep safe my memory
the time has come to say goodbye
and in your heart you wonder why
the years we shared must end today
yet knowing it would be this way
my life is brief compared to you
but time measures just one view .

if i could tell you how i see
the complete life you've given me
you'd understand my time is here
and let me go no without fear
pour out in tears the grief you feel
keep safe my memory as you heal.

look back and smile, we've had such fun
through winter's snow and summer's sun
so as these memories of me live on
i hope that long after i am gone
you'll know i felt your grief today
but at peace i slipped away.

Ahh, that's lovely. Still don't think it's sunk in yet, sort of feel he is just somewhere else..... And that wherever he is he'll be coming home

Ahh thank you. How long ago did you lose your boy?

I think the longer you leave it the harder it is in a way, as you are scared to open up old wounds. I did Den's video in the days after when I was still very much in shock from it all. The sadness never really goes away though does it

I am so so sorry for your loss. I've just seen your video. What a beautiful tribute to your beautiful boy. You must have so many wonderful memories.
I can't imagine what you must be going through.
When we get these puppies (as mentioned earlier) we don't think about how long we will have together and why should we? We fall in in love with them and the next thing you know there's a bond that just can't be broken.
I once read a sad article about someone having to say goodbye to their beloved dog.
Just before the dog went to sleep he licked the owners face, the vet told the owner that the dog was saying thank you however the owner stated that it was him in fact who should be saying thank you to his dog because he enriched the lives of him and his family and gave them so many happy memories.
I do hope things start feeling a little easier for you and your family.
Your video showed how much Dennis was and still is loved.
