Dap Collars....

My old staffie has become very noise phobic, it has got worse the older she gets, gun fire in the distance when we are out walking will send her back to the car as fast as her little legs will carry her.....Fireworks, thunder, you name it she is scared of it...

Bought her a Dap collar a week ago, today there was gun fire when we were out, and she totally ignored it and carried on with her walk....
Best invention yet!

Agreed we've been using these consistantly with Cain for the last 9 months to help his fear reactive behaviour and also general calming. It's worked so well for him, in the beginning when they ran out, boy did we know about it! He went from generally relaxed to lungey, growly monster within a matter of days!!!! However I an going to try to fade them out soon as I never wanted them to be a long term solution, just to help him cope while he was socialised. No idea if he's ready yet though, so wish me luck!!!!

So glad it's helped your girl enjoy her walks again, noise phobia is tricky to treat so it's great you've found something that helps her.

Beaphar do a Dog Calming Collar which works just as well, if not better, and is half the price of the DAP, especially if you get it off eBay. A TTouch body wrap may also help
